Sunshine Float for Dreams
On June 17th, Sunshine’s one-of-a-kind team-based fundraising adventure, the 2nd annual Sunshine Float for Dreams launched from the edge of the Grand River near Brantford, Ontario.
Encountering team challenges along their route, fundraisers spent the day soaking up the sun, building relationships with co-workers and spending quality time with family and friends. Teams “battled it out” in the on-water challenges, competing to win the Team Challenge Award, and showcasing their enthusiasm and spirit for the chance to win the Team Spirit Award.
As a true community event, in its second year, Sunshine Float for Dreams empowered almost 300 individuals to come together as a community to raise almost $90,000 in an engaging and exciting way. Volunteers from across the region lent support to the day, including vital emergency service volunteers from County of Brant Fire Department, City of Brantford Fire Department, OPP Auxiliary, County of Brant EMS and St. John Ambulance.
In two years, Sunshine Float for Dreams has seen over 650 participants and volunteers and has raised over $175,000 to help make dreams come true.
The success of the day and the fun that was had by all was made possible by the outstanding support of all of the hard working volunteers, generous donors and dedicated sponsors.
You can join us for more boatloads of fun on Saturday, June 23rd at the 3rd Annual Sunshine Float for Dreams. Visit www.floatfordreams.ca for more information and to register your team!
