The Sunshine Foundation of Canada is a national charitable organization that makes dreams come true for children living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
Our vision is that every Sunshine Child shall live their dream.
Sunshine was established in 1987 by a London, Ontario police officer and loving father as a legacy to his son who passed away from muscular dystrophy. He wanted children like his son to be able to live their dreams.
30 years later, we celebrate the thousands of young lives transformed by the tremendous impact of having a cherished dream come true. These dreams have ignited new possibilities, optimism, independence, and confidence in children that help them break barriers and write a brighter future story for themselves.
Our two programs, Sunshine DreamLifts and Sunshine Dreams have made it possible for kids to meet their heroes, discover new friendships, explore their neighbourhood in a customized bicycle, uncover the magic of Disney, and develop a deeper bond with their family.
Without your support and dedication to dreaming big with us, the idea that began in 1987, has grown into the powerful dream making organization that it is today - impacting Canadian communities from coast to coast.
